FOOD WALK
As a part of food-walk, We went to restaurant Papera in Gonikoppal. We had some regional and traditional food of Coorg.
The food which we ordered was really good and tasty. We Ordered something like butter naan, Kadia paneer, veg Biryani which was served with Raita. And then we ordered baby corn Manchurian. The food which we ordered was really good in taste.
At the end they served with some funnel seeds which is good for digestion, regulates the blood pressure, which will also Improves eyesight. The common name for funnel seeds is called as foeniculum vulgare, which is typically grown in vegetable and herb gardens.

Medicinal plants
Medicinal plants play an important role in day to day life of the people. Herbs are used as food,
as medicines for healthy
lifestyle and as natural remedies. Medicinal plants are easy to grow they grow
readily from seeds. Herbs
as medicinal plants can be grown easily by dividing the existing plants. Some
important and common
medicinal plants grown are Tulsi.
1.Kacha Pulli: Kacha Pulli or the Coorg dark vinegar is a dark
tart vinegar made from the fruit known as Pana Puli (Garcinia
Gummi Gutta) which belongs to the Garcinia family. This vinegar is known for
its distinct taste and color and mainly for the flavor it adds to the
traditional Pandi Curry. Kachampuli is used in many vegetarian and
non-veg dishes native to the region as a souring agent and preservative. We
source our Kachampuli from the best farms in Coorg, is pure and not adulterated
or diluted.
2.Tulsi (
Ocimu tenuiflorum, commonly known as holy basil, tulsi or Tulasi and tamole, damole,
or domole in Fiji,
is an aromatic perennial plant in the family Lamiaceae. It is native to the Indian subcontinent and widespread as a cultivated plant throughout the Southeast Asian tropics.
