Planting and Adoption of a tree

Planting and Adoption of a tree

we have planted a Coconut plant near the Iguttappa temple, water-based ponds/pool areas.  the trees are important in environmental and ecology concern. Coconut plants were planted through students. we are four members in our group in the planting work. Due to rain and water availability,90% trees are getting survival and people are involving in the tree planting.

Tree planting is recognised as one of the most engaging, environmentally friendly activities that people can participate in to help the planet when don properly.

trees provide numerous long term and short term benefits they not only look nice, but they also remove and store carbon from the atmosphere, slow heavy rain and thus reduce the risk if flooding, improve air quality and reduce the urban heat island effect by reflecting sunlight and providing shade.

coconut trees are some of the most exotic and healthy plants in the world. every part of coconut tree can be useful and nutritious.

A single coconut palm may yield 100 coconuts annually, and each fruit requires a year to fully ripen, Mature coconuts, ovoid or ellipsoid in shape,300-400mm (12-18 inches) in length and 150-200mm (6-8 inches) in diameter, have a thick fibrous husk surrounded the familiar single seeded nut of the commerce. A hard shell encloses the insignificant embryo with its abundant endosperm, composed of both meat and liquid.

Soil Testing

soil testing

we had visited Krishi Vigynan Kendra in gonikoappa to get a knowledge about the plants and soil, there some lecturers explained how to test the soil and what are the required components to test soil. Soil test is to analize the soil sample to determine nutrients, composition and other characteristics like acidity or pH levels.

We are heartily thanking our lecturers for their generous support in the environmental development works. Your support is needed for continuing future environmental program.
